History of the Hajar-e-Aswad.

1. Whiter than Milk.

The Hajar al-Aswad was brought from Jannah and given to Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) when the construction of Holy Kaabah was underway, in order to be placed at the corner of the Kaabah. It remains narrated in the Hadith of Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW); (description) when the Black Stone came down from Paradise, it was whiter than milk but the sins of the sons of Adam that they committed afterward, turned it black.

2. Testification on the Day of Qayamat.

Dua made at the place of Hajar-al-Aswad is particularly answered. in addition, the Black Stone will testify in favor of all those who kissed it on the Day of Judgement. The Prophet (SAWW) said: (description) On the Day of Qayamat, Allah will grant the Hajar-al-Aswad the ability to speak and see i.e. two eyes and a tongue, and the Black stone will then testify to the Iman (faith) of all those who people who kissed it.

3. Jewel of the Paradise.

Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) said that; (description) The Hajar-al-Aswad and Maqam-e-Ibrahim are two jewels among the jewels of Paradise; had Allah Almighty not concealed their radiance, they would have illuminated everything that lies between the East and the West.

4. Pieces of Hajar-e-Aswad.

Originally, Hajar-al-Aswad was in the form of complete white stone, however, due to various historical incidents, it now consists of eight pieces of different sizes affixed to a larger stone and enclosed in a silver frame. The silver frame was primarily made by Hazrat Abdullah-bin-Zubair (RA) and then replaced by later Khalifa(s) as per the need.
